E. Shaver Booksellers, an independent bookstore nestled in the heart of Savannah, Georgia, has been a beloved literary destination since its founding by Esther and Ed Shaver in 1975. Known for its carefully curated selection of new and regional books, the shop is equally famous for its four resident cats, who add to its undeniable charm.

To celebrate the store’s 50th anniversary, the owners entrusted me with designing a commemorative collection that captures the essence of E. Shaver Booksellers. With the store’s rich history and its feline ambassadors in mind, I crafted designs that highlight both its thoughtfully selected books and the unique personalities of its shop cats. After spending time getting to know each cat, I used their distinct energies into the artwork, ensuring they serve as playful yet fitting symbols of the store’s legacy.
